Selected for the 2024 Wildlife in NC Magazine Calendar. My celebration of the truly wild experience of river kayak fishing. One of my favorite outdoor experiences these past few years has been kayaking down a river in search of feisty river run fish. Even in the middle of summer you can still find shade, and cooler, oxygen-rich moving water, which holds active exciting fish. In this painting, I depict the explosive strike of a largemouth bass from out of the shadows and into the sunlight.  I love it, I hope you do too. Framed in solid mahogany frame molding with linen liner, handcrafted by the artist.
