Morning Exploration on Weaver Creek32”x48” Oil on Canvas
One early summer morning I took a kayak out to the Weaver Creek section of Jordan Lake with a couple of friends to see if we could catch some bass. I was excited to explore this section of the lake that promised some peaceful paddling where motor boats and jet skis aren’t allowed. I was enjoying the effortless speed of my pedal-powered Hobie Lynx and planning out where to cast my lure when I came around a point and saw the early morning sun just light up one point on the right side of the lake as the light morning fog was just burning off and I knew I had to paint that scene. Canvas frame is 1.5" deep, with the painting wrapped around it, so framing it is unnecessary for a modern look. Framing can be arranged if preferred.
