  Bo Danner is still haunted by a tragedy that never quite made sense. He hides from his grief — and his questions — aboard a broken-down Carolina sportfisherman: a once-proud offshore machine later disgraced as a rich man’s floating love shack, before Bo rescued her at auction, renamed her, and began bringing her back to life.

  When people begin dying in what was once a peaceful coastal town, Bo and his colorful circle of friends uncover signs of a growing criminal network — one that may involve people they know. They begin to realize that the dark forces of the wider world are flowing through their community, riding the same waters that once brought only fish and fishing stories.

  As the truth rises from the depths, Bo must decide whether to keep his head down and rebuild a single wounded boat… or risk everything to do what is right, no matter the cost.

  "Shoals of Deception" is the first of at least a three book series, with "Shoals of Blood" and "Shoals of Mercy"(working titles), well into the development stages.       Author Jeff Christian has led a life of loving the Carolina Coast, the fishing, the lifestyle, the culture, and of reading both "important" literature as well as "fun summer reads". His novel is written to be both fun, exciting, and meaningful. His characters and experiences within will hopefully stay with you long after you finish.
