Rivers are magical places and I love exploring them while fishing on foot or by kayak. We'll drop off one truck at our take out and drive miles upstream to launch our boats, and a day's journey begins. You never know what you might see, but you are guaranteed to see some wildlife, gliding quietly along, fishing like a warrior poet and all. But anyway, this scene I painted captures the lush and cool atmosphere of a forest stream, that awaits, even in the middle of a hot Carolina summer.
